On May 12, the Coalition for Workplace Safety filed comments in response to the Office of Management and Budget’s request for information on deregulation. Our comments urge OMB to rescind two regulations issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration – Worker Walkaround Representative Designation Process final rule and the Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses final rule.
Our comments explain how “these regulations, if kept in effect, would have damaging consequences for the economy, workers, and the employer community. They create unnecessary uncertainty, add to the regulatory and administrative burdens employers must absorb, and could trigger inflationary pressures.”
